IHCP conference

FLAVIOLA member Wim Vanden Berghe from the Laboratory of Eukaryotic Gene Expression and SignalTransduction (LEGEST) at Ghent University gave a keynote speech at the IHCP conference on “Phytochemicals and diet in health and inflammatory disease: epigenetic friends or foe”.

5th FLAVIOLA Consortium Meeting

The 5th FLAVIOLA Consortium meeting will be hosted by the UM team and will take place in Maastricht on 22-23 of September 2011. The meeting will last for 1.5 days, starting on Thursday 24th of February at 09:00 am and finishing on Friday 25th of February at noon.
The meeting will be based on WPs presentations including progress report presentations from the partners involved.

ICPH conference in Barcelona, Spain on 17-20 October 2011

FLAVIOLA will be represented at the 5th International Conference on Polyphenols and Health (ICPH) that will take place in Barcelona, Spain on 17-20 October 2011. The ICPH is a key scientific conference in the field of polyphenols and health that takes place every 2 years, and it thus provides a very pertinent forum to communicate the scientific outcomes of FLAVIOLA thus far.

Mainau Discoveries Exhibition

This year, the FLAVIOLA project is featured in the Discoveries Health Exhibition hosted on the island of Mainau – Germany’s most famous botanical garden. The exhibition is organised by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings and forms part of the Year of Science 2011 (“Research for Our Health”), a Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) initiative. The FLAVIOLA project is showcased in the pavilion of Mars, Incorporated – one of the consortium partners – and the exhibition is designed to enable visitors of all ages to explore a range of important scientific issues. It is expected that Mainau will receive about 500,000 visitors during the exhibition period (May 20 – September 4, 2011).

4th FLAVIOLA Consortium Meeting

The 4th FLAVIOLA Consortium meeting will be hosted by the INRA team and will take place in Clermont Ferrand on 24-25 of February 2011. The meeting will last for 1.5 days, starting on Thursday 24th of February at 09:00 am and finishing on Friday 25th of February at noon.
The meeting will be based on WPs presentations including progress report presentations from the partners involved.
